Glatzová & Co. advises Silicon Valley Bank on financing of combination of GeneProof with American Laboratory Products Company Prague — Glatzová & Co. advised Silicon Valley Bank, a U.S. based high-tech commercial bank specialised on lending to technology companies and providing multiple services to venture capital, revenue-based financing and private equity firms that invest in technology and biotechnology, on Czech law aspects of financing of combination of GeneProof a.s. ("GeneProof"), a leading Czech molecular diagnostics company, with American Laboratory Products Company, Ltd., a US specialty in vitro diagnostics company, leading to the establishment of ALPCO Group. The main shareholders of the new group will be Ampersand Capital Partners, a US private equity fund, and Czech founders of GeneProof (Mr. Radek Horvath and Mr. Miloš Dendis). Partner Libor Němec (Prague) led Glatzova’s legal team on the transaction. The team included Jarmila Tornová, Managing Associate, and Tomáš Fárník, Junior Associate (all Prague).
